Chilly Hummer


This poor girl doesn't look like she's enjoying the cold snap we're having.  With temps in the 30's and a freeze warning, she may have to resort to torpor tonight.  It seems to happen every year after they get here, but Mother Nature gave her the mechanisms she needs to cope and survive.

Orchard Oriole


A male Orchard Oriole in the rain and quite far away, but clearly recognizable in this shot.
