Winter Wrens




Found a pair of Winter Wrens at their nesting cavity in a rotting tree.


These wrens sing an incredibly loud and beautiful song which led me to find them at their nest.

A Learning Experience

A juvenile Rose-breasted Grosbeak learns to drink water from the fountain in our yard.




 She quickly figured out that it was easier to drink from the basin than to try catching it in midstream.
