Great spring photographs. I always find trout lilies a challenge to photograph without laying right down on the forest floor. Then I feel bad about crushing other plants when I do it.
The plant in your bottom photo looks like Carolina Spring Beauty (Claytonia caroliniana)instead of Spring Beauty (C. virginica). The wide leaves are the key identifier. C virginica leaves are more grasslike.
Your spring came along about a week to ten days sooner than ours in Mid-Michigan. Our ephemerals have just taken off this week.
